When you decide to buy dog as a pet you need to consider many things so that you can get a best pet. Decisions on size, coat type, potential health problems, ease of training, need for exercise, behavior, temperament, and attitude made before you visit a pet store or shelter will you to make a good decision on the animal that will share your home.

Size of the dog Dog coat
Generally, a large dog is not suitable for an apartment, for elderly owners, or for mild-mannered women. However, some large, agile dogs adapt well to apartment as long as they get a daily walk, and some are gentle enough that anyone with a firm voice and manner can easily handle them. Small dogs may be unsuitable for families with active children or elderly or sickly relatives who could trip over a small, gay creature.

Coat of the dog
Dogs with double coats do shed and shed more. These dogs shed their hair all over the house and land everywhere. These hairs shed create a shabby appearance in the house and also it spreads a doggy odor in the house. Health Problems

Ease of Training
Breed of dogs such as Golden Retrievers, Labrador Retrievers, Border Collies, German Shepherds, and Shetland Sheepdogs are the sharpest-working obedience, these breed of dogs is one of that worked traditionally well with the humans. Some breed can be trained very easily but some are difficult to train. Temperament
Some breeds of dogs are very aggressive and dominant in their behavior. Terriers a breed of dog is little bit tough and independent, but the Airedale Terriers are very close to the human beings. The temperament of breeds may vary from groups of breeds. It is worth spending time researching what kind of dog will suit you and your family.

Just like humans, dogs are living longer so the pup you choose may still be part of the family in 14 years time. You may have a preference for a particular breed or you may want a crossbreed, but it is important that you select the right dog for your lifestyle. It is essential to get a healthy pup from a clean home where the litter has been well nurtured and handled from an early age. Spend some time, too, with the mother to get an idea of her temperament. If she is the kind of dog you would like as your pet, than her puppies should be suitable for you.
